I am androgynous mostly. Except when I want to choose. But identity isn't always about us choosing. Try this test to see if you are butch, femme or something in between:

In her book on lesbian history, Lillian Faderman says that sometimes it wasn't possible to tell butch and femme apart by the clothes. So I am wondering...how did people tell? Identity is certainly about perceptions, and those can be internal. Of course, butches sure can be attracted to butches too!
